I don't know about your toddler, but mine is addicted to Wow! Wow! Wubbzy on Noggin (well, Nick Jr. now, I suppose). So of course, for Halloween, I couldn't help but make a Wubbzy costume. Took a little creativity, but I was able to make it. It turned out frickin' adorable, if I do say so myself. :)I started with a yellow sweatsuit that I got from FleeceFarm.com. I was able to order bright yellow in her exact size, so it fits her perfectly!
Then I drew Wubbzy's face on the shirt with pencil and outlined with black fabric paint. For her kooky tail, I found the perfect item--it was basically a jumbo yellow pipe cleaner I found at Hobby Lobby. I wrapped it around her, twisted it to hold it and wah-lah, perfect tail!
Then, for her ears, I used a yellow headband and some yellow foam to make ears, and then hot glued the Wubbzy ears onto the headband. These held up extremely well, I was so glad! I was worried I'd be having to glue or re-tape the things all day, but nope!
I also made a Wall-E costume for my son, that's in another blog post. Turned out way cute! Both kids won prizes at the apartment complex's Halloween party--Chris was most original and April won cutest! :)
